Understanding personality
Behavioural Iridology
A way of reading the structure of the iris as a map of temperament: how you think, how you feel, how you move, and how you pair with other people.
What is behavioural iridology?
Behavioural iridology, sometimes called the Rayid method, reads the iris for structure rather than health. Freckle-like pigment spots, rounded open lacunae, fine straight fibres and mixtures of these are read as four temperaments: the Jewel, the Flower, the Stream and the Shaker. Most people are a blend of two.
"Read this part as a mirror, not a verdict. Argue with it; that is the use of it. Keep what recognises you."
What makes it useful
- Immediate personal insight: a reading of your temperament from your own iris photos, in about a minute.
- Structure, not colour: the pattern of fibres and pigment, which does not change with mood or lighting.
- Both eyes read together: the left and right iris often differ, and the difference is part of the picture.
- Wellbeing, not treatment: the reading is for self-reflection and better conversations, not for healing anything.
How it works
Two photos, one per eye. The reading names your dominant and secondary type and says where in the iris it saw the evidence. From that it draws an archetype, five trait scales, strengths, blindspots, and how the same temperament shows up at work and at home.
Nothing in it is a medical claim. Behavioural iridology is a reflective lens, closer to a well-made personality quiz than to a test, and the reading says so on its first page.
What people get from it
- A vocabulary for who you already are, and permission to stop apologising for it.
- Clearer sight of how you show up in relationships, and why opposites so often pair.
- A sense of which kinds of work suit your temperament, beyond the job title.
- Strengths and blindspots named plainly, with a short development plan you can argue with.
Who it is for
Individuals
A clearer picture of your own temperament, to make better decisions about work and relationships, and to be kinder to yourself about the rest.
Couples
What drew you together is often the thing that grates later. Seeing both temperaments side by side turns a mystery into a conversation.
Families
Children are all different. Knowing a child's type is a way to meet them where they are rather than where you were.
Curious which of the four you are?
